PC Build Guide – 13th Month Pay Edition

75k gaming pcThe goal is to build a high-end gaming setup on over a 100K Php budget. While spending your hard-earned money on a rig is your decision, we just have to highlight that systems at this price-point are an extreme luxury unless the rig is also being used for paying productivity projects (e.g. professional graphics and video work), professional streaming, or as a prize show-piece (e.g. PC Build contest entries). Basically, if it’s not going to earn you any money, we don’t recommend going to this price point and beyond. The build guide only includes the System Unit. Also, please remember that this is only a guide, and you don’t need to follow it religiously. Please feel free to suggest what you think can improve the build(s) within this price segment.

13th Month Pay Edition – Total: Php 126,080

LAST UPDATED: November 25, 2019

Prices are based on PC HUB Online PL (Bought with PC)

CPU

The AMD Ryzen 9 3900X is hands down the best processor right now in terms of value for both gaming and productivity. Again, even though Intel might still be a little bit ahead in gaming, the difference is negligible specially if price is a factor (against Intel Core i9 9900K).

CPU Cooler

A high-end processor like the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X requires decent cooling solutions specially if you’re going to utilize all of its power. We recommend high performance CPU coolers like the Noctua NH-D15 or All in One Liquid Coolers like the Corsair H100i Pro RGB Platinum.

Motherboard

The MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WIFI sports a decent aesthetic we had in mind for this build while still being able to deliver most features we’d ever need from a motherboard.

Memory

The latest Ryzen processors benefit greatly from high frequency RAM (3600 MHz). For this build we’re recommending four sticks of AMD Ryzen optimized 8GB DDR4-3600Mhz G.Skill Trident Z Neo.

Video Card

The MSI RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming X Trio is a great card that barely surpasses the legendary GTX 1080 Ti in performance. And for now, that’s all the power you’ll need. The RX 5700XT is also a powerful card that’s a tad cheaper or you can go all in with a RTX 2080 Ti for maximum performance.

Storage – HDD

For the storage, we will simply get a larger HDD, the 2TB Seagate BarraCuda.

Storage – SSD

The 1TB Adata XPG SX8200 Pro is a great contender for Samsung 970 Evo in terms of performance but its price makes it the better choice between the two.

Power Supply

The Corsair RM750 Gold is more than enough and gives plenty of headroom for this build.

Case

As for the case, this should be entirely up to you. The Fractal Design Meshify C would look really well with all the parts we have chosen with this build for a Black/Silver/White theme.

I could not think of any game that will not run smoothly with this build even with the highest graphics setting.
